Freelance writer and editor (2012–present)
- Several articles written for Diamond Light Source, including: Fossilised micrometeorites revealed; Non-destructive X-ray diffraction; and Carbon dioxide clathrate hydrate properties.
- Copyedited and proofread print publications, as part of the Communications Office team at the European Space Agency’s European Space Research and Technology Centre.
- Wrote and edited Earth and planetary science texts and question sets for the Zinkerz ACT practice app.
- Copyedited the monthly executive summaries of a specialist cybersecurity consultancy firm, London Cyber Security (LCS).
Communications Manager (2016–2018), Institute for Molecular Science and Engineering (Imperial College London)
- Overall responsibility for planning and implementing the Institute’s internal and external communications strategy.
- Developed, co-wrote, produced, and marketed the Institute’s new briefing paper series.
- Designed tailored communications for a wide range of stakeholders, including academics, policy makers, funding agencies, and industry partners.
Senior Technical Editor (2012–2017), Form and Content Media
- Copyedited and proofread more than 600 technical articles for SPIE Newsroom (web-based technical newsroom of the International Society for Optics and Photonics) and the SPE Plastics Research Online hub (Society of Plastics Engineers).
- Website content editing, curation, and management.
- Writing press releases, social media content, and other promotional material.
